Already at the beginning of his apprenticeship in various work shops, Willy felt the need of creating and developing his own style, aside from conducting the traditional wooden art. His works are reminiscent, in the broad sense, of the Roman sculpture. For his work, he selects pieces of wood that even after the carving maintain their original form.

His cribs are typical, carved in the base of the walnut root, as well as the figures carved in Ballerophon – matte black limestone that the artist finds in the local mountain currents. All works by Willy Messner are exclusively handmade, supplemented with a certificate confirming the integrity of the working process.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_gallery el_id=”gallery-661609″ type=”carousel” medias=”17940,17939,17941,17938,17937″ carousel_lg=”1″ carousel_md=”1″ carousel_sm=”1″ thumb_size=”one-one” gutter_size=”3″ carousel_interval=”3000″ carousel_navspeed=”400″ carousel_loop=”yes” carousel_nav=”yes” carousel_dots=”yes” stage_padding=”0″ single_overlay_opacity=”50″ single_padding=”2″ uncode_shortcode_id=”985434″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading]Artworks:[/vc_custom_heading][uncode_index el_id=”index-780209″ loop=”size:10|order_by:date|post_type:portfolio|by_id:12255|taxonomy_count:10″ screen_lg=”1000″ screen_md=”600″ screen_sm=”480″ gutter_size=”3″ portfolio_items=”media|featured|onpost|original,title,text|excerpt” infinite=”yes” images_size=”one-one” single_overlay_opacity=”50″ single_padding=”2″ uncode_shortcode_id=”163025″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”178115″] Messner Willy Willy Messner was born in Gherdëina.
